At it again!

Well.... Here I go again. Trying my hand at blogging. This time I have stuff to talk about. Wanna hear? Gluten. Mmmmm. Bread. Guess what? No more. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's which is an auto immune thyroid disease. She said going gluten free can significantly help as gluten can cause inflammation.  Which I also have. I've slowly tried to not eat gluten this week. I think today was the first day I didn't have any gluten! I also have insuring resistance and doc said my pancreas if working too hard. So I also started a weekly injection. She told me that continuing this medication is totally up to me. If I eat right.... One day I could get off of the meds. Let's add one more thing to the pot. I have a genetic mutation called MTHFR.  I didn't just get one copy.... I GOT 2!  Thanks mom and dad. So of course... There's a pill for that as well. I'm all pilled and injected up at this point. But I'm going to do it. I'm going to make a change. I'm too young for all of this... So I thought. Keep following me on my journey. I will post updates on diet and weight loss. Of course... Encouragement is nice too. Until next time.....

Life can be exhausting!

First of all having a child with anxiety is NOT fun!  Up til 12:30 last night dealing with a panic attack.

Had a fantastic Labor Day.  Family and friends made for a wonderfully, blessed day.

Despite being so tired today, I was able to make ti to some of Lauren's first official practice of the season.  GOOOOO HURRRRIIICANES!  Luke has his first baseball practice tomorrow.

Have I mentioned lately that December 9th cannot get here soon enough!!!  I hope I can hang until then!  It is not fun anymore.

I bought a book!! "Chicken Soup for the Nurses Soul".  First story made me cry...so did the second..and the third.  IDK if I will be reading the book much...LOL.

Goodnight and be blessed!!

This is Pediculous!!!

So today was CrAzY!  I never had a chance to sit down at all!!  It is 10:10pm and I am FINALLY sitting in bed!!  Yay for bed.

Have mentioned before how I am SOOOO ready to be done with school?  If not, I am!  In a bad kind of way.  It seems I am not the only one who feels that way.  The attitudes flying at school are nuts!  We have all spend entirely too much time together.  So needless to say, I will be dancing across the stage at graduation!  Peace out fools!!!

So as I am leaving school I see a text from Krista.  It says "Kaylee was sent home with lice."  YUCK!  I HATE lice.  I was hoping Lauren did not have it but guess what??  Infested!!  To the max!  Thank goodness Krista and I did not have it, but I treated everyone anyway.  Bought an all natural treatment that guarantees 100% effectiveness.  It worked!!!!  Thank goodness it did!

I got my new Scentsy warmer today.  I am stoked!  It is an Autism Speaks warmer and I love it!

Thank goodness today is over and there is a 4 day weekend ahead of me!!!!
That's all I got...over and out!!!

What a day!!!

So I created this blog a long time ago.  I have never tried blogging but would like to try it.  So lets get started.  Today was not the kind of day that was worth getting out of bed for.  I get to class and get handed 2 very important test grades.  One was for an exam and one was for a skill check off.  I got the scantron for the exam first and YAY, I made a 98!!!  Was so excited until I was handed my checkoff sheet.  I FAILED!!!  WHAT?!  Yes, I made a stupid mistake during my checkoff and I am very disappointed with myself.  Getting that failing grade made that 98 insignificant.

On another note, nothing cute out of Luke's mouth today.  It was a rough "autism" day for him.  Getting him to do homework is my biggest challenge and I do not know how to handle it or change it.  I just try to stay calm and encourage him to make the choice.  Tonight I finally looked at him and said "You don't have to do it if you do not want to".  He was excited until I told him he is responsible for his grades and so if he wanted to get a failing grade then that was his choice.  It really seemed to work.  He finally finished his homework.  His baseball coach contacted me today and he will start practice next Wednesday.  I'm hoping it goes well.

Lauren had a great day today.  Other than the normal bed time fight, she was good.  She's been having bed time every night for 10 years....you'd think she would get it by now!

We found out last week that Krista's step-father's prostate cancer may be back.   I hope you will all say a prayer for him.

I know that today was just a bump in the road and believe me, through the turmoil, I am still counting my blessings.  Hope everyone has a blessed night.
